Little Sister Got Married

There’s a running joke in my family that a year isn’t complete until we’ve had a family wedding. To explain, there are five children in my immediate family (all girls and I’m the middle child), and over the last three years we have consistently had either an engagement or a wedding for one of us sisters.

In August this year, Pamela, the youngest of us five sisters, had an elegant Melbourne winter wedding. While it was a typically freezing winters day, surprisingly there wasn’t a drop of rain (although there was some mud so gumboots were handy)!

Pamela’s wedding started with a church ceremony in the Melbourne LDS temple, and her reception was at the Forest Edge restaurant located in the luscious Dandenongs Ranges. We made good use of the green location, and even managed a photo with the Puffing Billy as it passed over the Lilydale trestle bridge.

All of the sisters were Pamela’s bridesmaids which made for a very hectic day. It’s now become a tradition that we all get wedding ready together alongside our mum-  not the calmest energy but a lot of fun!

Pamela looked absolutely stunning as a bride and her husband scrubbed up equally nicely! Her reception venue looked storybook pretty with touches of gold décor, as if it were straight out of the Beauty and the Beast set.
