In April this year my sister Candice married her partner.
Of everyone in my family Candice is by far the most organised, and true to form she arranged every wedding detail herself, including her hens party. With the maid-of-honour role requiring no work and just the glory of the title at stake, my sister Cerise and I fought for the title, and Candice diplomatically gave it to both of us!
The vows were exchanged in a lush garden setting, perfectly chosen for a wedding in the garden state.
For the reception we headed off to the inner-city suburb of Richmond, where we filed into the too-cool urban warehouse.
The reception was beautifully styled with greenery adorning the walls, festoon lighting adding a magical touch of warmth and exposed beams highlighting the character of the cool industrial space. I’ve eaten a lot of wedding food, but honestly this was some of the best. So fresh and flavoursome, it was more like a restaurant experience, so hats off to catering legends Your Private Chef!
Candice was a stunning bride in an elegant lace dress, her long dark hair perfectly draped down her back, and her numerous pearl earrings shimmering away. Her groom was very handsome in his traditional black suit. The bridesmaids wore black. It was such a Melbourne wedding.
