Wedding planning is hectic! On top of the endless event details, you also want to look your very best. In preparation for the big day I’ve started looking into beauty treatments to get my skin wedding ready.

While an ivory skin tone suits some, I look better with a tan, so I’ll be getting a spray tan for the big day. To ensure my tan is even and streak free, exfoliation is key. I was chuffed to spend a day of pampering with the National Academy of Beauty and their beauty partner, Salon Blend, to test out potential exfoliation options. 

With two salons located in Brisbane and Melbourne, Salon Blend partners with National Academy of Beauty to provide beauty therapy students with real salon experience working with the best brands in the industry. I was blown away by how beautiful the salon is and how lovely and professional my therapist, Brooke was.

I started the day of pampering with a pedicure, massage and a facial, because I’m the bride-to-be so why not? While these treatments were AMAZING, I absolutely loved trying the vichy shower for a full body exfoliation and relaxation.

I have never used a vichy shower before! It looks a bit like one of the space ship sleeping pods in the film Alien. It’s actually a bath-like device with all over shower jets which act like a water fall, giving your body a water massage treatment. I totally recommend it!

Needless to say, after my vichy shower and exfoliation treatment, my tan went on perfectly, so I’ll definitely be booking back in with Salon Blend for the week of my wedding!
